A story of a Mexican Entrepreneur I met in my 20’s.
There was a Mexican Entrepreneur who won an International Award as the Social Entrepreneur of the Year at the University. When I was in my 20’s, social entrepreneurship wasn’t as popular as it is today. During an Entrepreneurial competition while being in the university, I found a guy who created a product to help native Indian people. The products were made with 3 ingredients: natural materials from the region, cultural appeal, handcrafts and a business model for community and village development. He won 1st price and helped thousands of people regain dignity from poverty.
This one person created an infrastructure to support people in marginalized communities, utilizing the resources that were available in that community.
